Here’s our MMV for this week.
“The crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!” (Matthew 21:9 NASB)
Yesterday was Palm Sunday, the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey to fulfill His destiny on the cross. As He rode into Jerusalem the people we laying their coats and palm branches on the road in front of Him and some of them had put their garments on the donkey. What an awesome picture this paints for us today. The garments (coats) and palm branches represented the peoples’ lives being laid down and surrendered to the Son of God. The people were also shouting Hosanna and praising Jesus as He rode along and they were making a lot of noise much to the dismay of some of the people. My question for us all today is what is our posture before the Son of God as He enters our lives and families. Is it praise and shouting Hosanna and surrendering our lives or is it one of annoyance with all the shouts of Hosanna going on around us wishing it would go away.
Please ponder these things as we READ IT – WRITE IT – SAY IT – SING IT – PRAY IT. Don’t forget your 10 minutes of silence.
Much love and blessings,
Michael & Kathy
